What is Pet Piazza?
Pet Piazza is a virtual community for pet owners and lovers. As a member of Pet Piazza, you will have access to participate in all channels, including: Articles, Find a Pet Sitter Directory, Pet Galleries, Message Board (Discuss), News, Pet Events and Polls. You will also get to meet and make friends online with other members with whom you could share your hobbies and interests.
How do I navigate through the website?
The default layout for Pet Piazza is set at full screen. Pet Piazza is best viewed with a 1024x768 screen resolution, but any viewport size will work with Pet Piazza. There are several ways to navigate through petpiazza.com. The easiest is via the menu at the top of the page (under the Pet Piazza logo and above the site search), which list all of the different channels in Pet Piazza and other features. Under each title bar, you will see a breadcrumb trail. This shows you where you are on the site (i.e. Where Am I? Home / Pet Piazza FAQ) and you can click on most of them to go to that page.

What kind of access do visitors have at Pet Piazza?
Visitors are website users who are not members of Pet Piazza. Visitors can only read information (articles, events, etc...) in each Pet Piazza Channel and may not add content to any channels until they sign up for a free membership.
How do I create a Membership?
Membership at Pet Piazza is free. Once you become a member, you can read, write, and contribute to Pet Piazza. Create your membership here.

What kind of access do members have at Pet Piazza?
Members at Pet Piazza can read, write, and contribute to the various channels. You can discuss a topic in the forum, upload your pet’s picture, add news, polls, articles or events, write a review on an article, news item, event, poll, or pet sitter listing. You can also send private messages to other Pet Piazza members.
How do I log in with my membership?
Once you fill out the membership form, you will be sent an email giving you your Username (which you had previously entered in the membership form) and Password. The log-in box is located in the right column, just above the "In the News". There is also a log-in link at the top of the screen for your convenience.
How do I change my Password?
Once you log in, click on the link for "My Profile". The first section is "Member Account". Look for the password field and make your changes. At the bottom of the page, press "Save Changes".
How do I retrieve my lost Username and/or Password?
You can use the Retrieve Lost Password Form to get your Username and Password sent to the email address with which you registered. If you still have trouble, please contact us.
What can I add to Pet Piazza?
You can be as active as you want to be as a member. You can write reviews in the various channels: Articles, Find a Pet Sitter Directory, Pet Galleries, News, and Events. You can also participate in our Discussion Board by introducing yourself or posting questions, comments, or stories in the various topics. You can also communicate with other members on the Discussion Board or send them a private message.

How do I write a review?
You must be a member to write reviews. To write a review, log in and find the item (Article, Find a Pet Sitter, etc...) for which you would like to write a review. Below the description of that item (Article, Event, etc..), you will see a "Reviews" box (if there are any existing reviews). Below the "Review:" box, you will see a "Write a Review" form. Simply fill out the form, rate the item, and submit. We will then approve your review and it will show up just below the item (Article, Find a Pet Sitter, etc...) in the "Reviews" box.
How do I add content to Pet Piazza?
After you log in, the "Login" box now says "Welcome Back." You have several links available: My Profile, My Pet Piazza, Add my Article, Add my Business, Add my Picture, Add my News, Add my Event, Add my Poll, My Messages, and Logout.
My Profile
When you click on "My Profile," you can view what others see when they click on your Username. You can change your password, edit your personal information, enter additional information such as: Age, Gender, Bio, Profile Signature and Profile Avatar, or upload your own picture of yourself.
My Pet Piazza
When you click on "My Pet Piazza," you can add to Pet Piazza’s various channels. You can add articles, business listings (Currently avaialable for the Find a Pet Sitter Directory only), upload your pet's picture, add news, events, and even conduct your own poll.
My Messages
Pet Piazza is a virtual community of pet owners. You may meet people and become friends with them. The ‘My Messages’ section allows you to send private messages (P.M. – as indicated in ‘My Profile’). To send a message to another member, you must add them to your buddy list. When you log in to Pet Piazza, you’ll notice next to ‘My Messages’ a number. This will let you know if you have any new Private Messages.
Buddy List
To add a buddy to your buddy list, you must first log in. Click on " Members" in the left menu. This will display all of Pet Piazza’s members. In this section, you can view a member's profile, send them a private message, or add them to your buddy list.
How do I edit content to Pet Piazza?
To edit any content you have added, log in and then click " My Pet Piazza." Anything you have added will show up under the different channels. To the right of each item you have added (Pet Sitting Listing, Article, News, Event, Poll, etc...) you will see 3 icons:
- Shopping Cart - Click this icon to purchase a featured listing

- Paper w/ pencil - Click this icon to edit your item.
- Trash Can - Click this icon to delete your items.

What are the different ways I can advertise on Pet Piazza?
Currently there are three forms of advertising:
- Find a Pet Sitter Directory
Pet Sitting companies can add their listing to the "Find a Pet Sitter" directory by upgrading their free membership to be a Gold Member. For $40/year, you can add your company's listing to our directory.

- Featured Listings
Anyone can add content to Pet Piazza for any present and future channels. Anyone can also upgrade their content to be featured – listed above all else in that channel – for $60. For example, if you are a pet sitter and have a listing in the "Find a Pet Sitter" Directory, you can purchase a featured listing. This will put your listing at the top of all others and is guaranteed to be seen more than just a regular listing. This is also applicable if you have a particular article, news item, or future channel that you want to be seen by more people.

- Banner Ads
As an advertiser of relevant products or services, you have several choices of advertising. You can have a text banner or a graphic banner. The sizes can be 125W or 468W. The 125W ads can display on the left or right side of each page and are available in each channel (right side doesn't display in all Pet Piazza channels). The 468W ads can display at the top of each page and are also available for each channel.
